2014
Force is one of the first non-mathematical concepts located in the books, the abstract concept of force was the notion of "divinity" raised in ancient Egypt. In the Greek science outline the first concept of physics, physically more related to the essence and nature of things that the precise quantitative description. In this context the “traditional” concept of force seen as the cause of motion, speed of bodies-the forces are needed to keep moving, which are the cause of movement. In this work we will appreciate the evolution of force concept from Aristoteles passing by Copernic, Gilbert, Kepler to Galileo i.e., at the dawn of the Copernican scientific revolution, moving from the traditional conception of force understood as a spirit that animates the bodies, to the essentially relational interpretation. In a second work will continue with the ideas of Descartes up to Newton, which we intend to complete what has been called the Newtonian synthesis.
