Simulation of a 8/6 Switched Reluctance Motor

A Matlab/Simulink environment to simulate a 8/6 switched reluctance motor is described.The simulation model uses the strategies of angle position control and current chopping control.The results of simulation show the operating characteristics of switched reluctance motor,and prove the effectiveness and feasibility of the model.The model provides an effective way and method for analysis and design SRM control system.The more detailed examples are given in this paper to illustrate the effectiveness of the model.
