Racial Disparities in Complications, Length of Stay, and Costs among Patients Receiving Orthognathic Surgery in the United States

Abstract Introduction Black and Hispanic/Latino patients in the United States often experience poorer health outcomes in comparison to White patients. We aimed to assess the impact of race on complications, length of stay, and costs following orthognathic surgery. Methods Pediatric and young adult orthognathic surgeries (age Results There were 8809 patients identified in the KID database (mean age of 16.3 years).
