Artigo Completo INCIDÊNCIA DE DENGUE NO MUNICÍPIO DE BARBOSA FERRAZ, PARANÁ, BRASIL

2012
Dengue is one of most public health problem worldwide, especially in tropical countries, due to their environmental, climatic and social characteristics. Parana (PR) recorded the largest number of dengue cases in southern Brazil. In 1993, the first autochthonous cases of dengue were reported in this state. This descriptive-epidemiological study aimed to verify the occurrence of epidemiological cases of dengue ( Aedes aegypti ) in Barbosa Ferraz - PR from 2000 to 2007. Data were obtained from medical handbooks of Municipal Health Secretary. The incidence of dengue in Barbosa Ferraz - PR was considered low at this period; however, 69 individuals suspected of dengue were recorded in 2002. Numbers suggest that survival or density of mosquito has increased in the city, probably due to climatic variations occurred in this year (2002) that were favorable to reproduction of A. aegypti .
