Опыт внедрения проекта по профилактике респираторно-синцитиальной вирусной инфекции в Республике Башкортостан

The article presents the first experience of immunoprophylaxis of respiratory syncytial virus infection in the Republic of Bashkortostan. 151 children with high-risk for severe respiratory syncytial virus infection underwent prophylaxis during the epidemic season of 2012-2013. The use of Palivizumab allowed to reduce the frequency of hospitalization due to lower respiratory infection in high-risk children from 8.6% to 1.3%.
