Interactions between the inhibitor phases, secondary grain growth and glass-film formation in HGO electrical steel

1992
The heating period of box annealing is mainly responsible for the magnetic properties of HGO electrical steel sheet. The annealing atmosphere influences the behaviour of inhibitor phases, the process of secondary recrystallization and the formation of the forsteritic insulation layer. Different conditions before annealing may result in differences in magnetic quality.
