This paper has as general theme to observe as the media contributes to the religious configuration at the present time. It resulted of the analysis of special issues about religion, published by Folha de S. Paulo, Brazilian newspaper of larger national circulation, to think about the connections between religion and media in the contemporary society and the way as religions are interpreted and transmitted by a great media organization.
