CO{sub 2} lasers for medical uses

This paper presents the development of CO{sub 2} lasers for medical purposes with power levels to 3 and 25 W, with flexible-fiber radiation-delivery systems. The paper reports and discusses the results of a study of the induction of aggregation of human platelets by CO{sub 2}-laser radiation. 16 refs., 3 figs.
