The prevention and treatment strategies of cerebral infraction after the hip fracture surgery in elderly patients

Objective To explore the prevention and treatment strategies of the cerebral infarction after the hip fracture surgery in elderly patients.Methods The clinical data of 38 elderly patients with cerebral infraction after the hip fracture surgery were retrospectively analyzed,including routine treatment,acute stage treatment,and late stage rehabilitation after the diagnosis of cerebral infraction to conduct the efficacy analysis.Results Patients were followed up from 6 months to 8 years with an average of 5.2 years.Sixteen patients died.Twenty-two patients recovered at different degree,including 15 patients with complete ability to take care themselves.Conclusion The cerebral infarction after the hip fracture surgery in elderly patients can be prevented and treated through avoiding the iatrogenic factors and the correct strategies during and post the operation.
