2012
Heart failure (HF) is a complex syndrome that can develop from any structural or functional disorder of the heart that affects the ventricles’ ability to fill with or pump out blood, resulting in a pathophysiological state in which the heart is unable to pump enough blood to fulfill the metabolic needs, despite adequate ventricular filling pressure [1, 2].
