Anesthetic management for patients with the removal of the left atrial myxoma

Objective To explore the speciality of anesthetic management for patients with the removal of the left atrial myxoma.Methods The anesthetic management for 80 cases with the removal of the left atrial myxoma were retrospectively analyzed.Results There was no severe change in haemodynamics during anesthetic induction,except for one patient occurred cardiac arrest.The patient with cardiac arrest recovered well and had no neural sequelae,one patient died due to low cardiac output and multiple organ dysfunction after operation.Conclusion The successful anesthesia for patients with the removal of the left atrial myxoma should include strengthening preoperative evaluation,puting the patient in suitable position during induction,choseing anesthetic drugs according to cardiac function,avoiding the disturbance of haemodynamics and combining with the administration of vascular active agents.
