Analysis of the clinical application of insulin similitudes in hospitals of Shanghai

Objective:To find out the situation of application of insulin similitudes in 119 hospitals of Shanghai and provide reference for production,sale and consumption departments.Methods:We investigated insulin similitudes used in 119 hospitals of Shanghai during 2008-2010 in respect to their category,consumption,growth rate and clinical application.Results:The category of insulin similitudes was as follows:insulin glargine,insulin aspart,insulin lispo,insulin detemir and so on.The consumption of each similitude had been increased year by year.As the category of preparations of insulin similitudes was more and more diversified,we have more reasonable choices.Conclusion:The prospects of insulin similitudes are good for the treatment of diabetes in clinic.
