Laryngeal mask airway for management of a difficult airway and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy

Summary We report successful use of the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) in an eight-year-old child with failure to thrive and a known difficult tracheal intubation for ESWL in a mobile lithotripter van.
