A sexualidade de mulheres durante o climatério: percepções e vivências

Objective: know the perceptions and experiences of women concerning the sexuality during the climacteric. Methodology: this is a field study, descriptive, exploratory, in a qualitative approach, carried out with semi-structured interviews with ten climacteric women, at a Basic Health Unit. The data were submitted to thematic content analysis. The study was approved by the Ethics in Research Committee, CAAE number 05287312.0.0000.5323. Results: sexuality was noticed in different ways, only as sexual intercourse or associated to femininity, sensuality and care itself. The loss of sexual desire and there was an association to marriage coexistence based on the dialogue and support for a better experience of sexuality. Conclusion: it is important that the nurse contemplates, when performing health actions, a closer and unique look concerning the sexuality of climacteric women so that they can experience this moment in a healthy and qualitative way.
