Self-tapping intramedullary fixation device suitable for long bone fractures

2015
The invention discloses a self-tapping intramedullary fixation device suitable for long bone fractures. The self-tapping intramedullary fixation device is a rod-like body, wherein the rod-like body is composed of a spring body fixedly connected between a drilling rod and a handle; the drilling rod and the handle are of tubular structures; the end part of the drilling rod is provided with a drilling edge; a spiral chip groove is formed in the outer circumferential surface of the drilling rod; and locking holes are respectively formed in the handle and the drilling rod. The self-tapping intramedullary fixation device decided to adopt a right or left spiral groove according to the direction of a fracture line can play a role in pressurizing a fracture end, reduce operative wounds and complications in an operation, achieve slightest wounds and lowest X-ray exposed quantity and also achieve the aim of effectively fixing the fractures, and cannot influence the projection perspective of an intra-operative C-arm. By using the self-tapping intramedullary fixation device, the defects of the traditional fracture fixation dissection can be effectively avoided, the operation time and the recovery time can be greatly shortened, and the pain of a patient can be greatly relieved. The self-tapping intramedullary fixation device is reasonable in structure, simple in operation, flexible in operation and control, accurate in location, firm in location, better in elastic modulus, free of stripping periosteum and reaming, and capable of effectively promoting fracture healing and achieving the function of early recovering limbs and the patient.
