The invention relates to an identification device (1) for an air spring (2) with an RFID-transponder (8) in the elastomeric matrix (13) of the bellows (4) is completely embedded. By a reader (9) an electromagnetic field is generated, wherein the electromagnetic field generated for the supply of the RFID transponder necessary (8) the energy by the reading device (9) is removable. Is the reader (9) is active, information between the RFID transponder (8) and the reader (9) are interchangeable. The RFID transponder (8) is completely without internal power supply. The RFID transponder (8) can also be implemented as a read-write transponder with a memory chip, on the memory chip data is safely and permanently stored. By retrieving data from the RFID transponder (8) an identification of the air spring (2) without internal power supply of the RFID transponder is possible.
