Investigation of deep-inelastic collisions for the reaction /sup 12/C+/sup 27/Al at 68 MeV and reaction /sup 12/C+/sup nat/Ca at 68. 6 MeV

/sup 27/Al and /sup nat/Ca were bombarded by a carbon-ion beam at 69.5 MeV incident energy. The reaction products were identified by a ..delta..E-E telescope, and the spectra of Li, Be, B, N, and O were obtained. The values of the deformation parameters of the emitted fragments are between 0.28 and 0.44. The theoretical energies of the fully damped fragments were computed and are in agreement with the experimental data. The mean lifetime of the reaction is about (4--6) x 10/sup -22/ sec.
