Совершенствование медицинской помощи детям, страдающим ревматическими болезнями

Infantile rheumatic diseases are a topical problem of public health. In the Russian Federation there are over 53 thousand children suffering from rheumatic diseases, among which 6253 are disabled children (according to the data of 2002). Since 1999, a state monitoring of the main rheumatic infantile diseases has been introduced in Russia. The article presents an analysis of the incidence, prevalence, and structure of rheumatic diseases in the cohort of children and adolescents on the territory of the Russian Federation over the period from 1999 through 2002. Measures are proposed necessary for improvement of medical and medico-social aid to children with rheumatic diseases.
