Fuzzy eigenvalue problems of structural dynamics using ANN

Abstract Eigenvalue problems with uncertainty (viz., fuzzy) may transform these into fuzzy eigenvalue problems. An artificial neural network (ANN)-based approach has been used in this chapter to handle the titled problem. The entries in the fuzzy eigenvalue problem (FEP) have been considered as a triangular fuzzy number (TFN). The FEP has been converted to an interval form using a single parametric form. In this regard, two example problems, viz., a numerical and a two-story frame structure, have been investigated. Corresponding fuzzy plots of these example problems are also incorporated.
