DENSIDADE DE BIODIESEL DE GIRASSOL EM FUNÇÃO DA TEMPERATURA E PROPORÇÕES DE MISTURA

Biodiesel is a biofuel suitable for compression ignition diesel cycle and can be used as an additive or a substitute for petroleum diesel without changing the structure of the engine. The present study was to evaluate the density objective seven proportions of sunflower biodiesel + diesel: B0 (0 +100), B5 (5 +95), B15 (15 +85), B25 (25 +75), B50 (50 +50), B75 (75 +25) and B100 (100 +0). The work was conducted at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, UNESP, Jaboticabal. The density of biodiesel from sunflower was determined in seven and modeled mixing ratios, temperatures ranging from 10 to 70 oC. The results showed the increased density increased as the proportion of sunflower biodiesel in diesel with decreasing temperature.
