Provided is a method for producing cerebral cortex neurons from pluripotent stem cells. Provided is a method for producing cerebral cortex neurons from pluripotent stem cells, including: (i) a step for carrying out suspension culture of pluripotent stem cells in a medium that contains a TGFβ inhibitor, bFGF, a Wnt inhibitor, and a BMP inhibitor; (ii) a step for carrying out suspension culture of the cells obtained in step (i) in a medium that contains a Wnt inhibitor and a BMP inhibitor; and (iii) a step for further culturing the cells obtained in step (ii).
