Solution-processed aggregation-induced emission molecule for highly efficient non-doped OLEDs with negligible efficiency roll-off

2018
Abstract Most aggregation-induced emission (AIE) molecules are focus on thermal evaporation method and suffer a serious issue of swift efficiency roll-off as luminance increases. To address this problem, in this study, a new solution-processed AIE emitter CzTAZP with distorted dendritic configuration is synthesized and investigated. Non-doped OLED base on CzTAZP show high peak current efficiency (CE max ) and external quantum efficiency (EQE max ) of 23.1 cd A −1 and 9.4%, respectively, with negligible CE and EQE roll-off of 1.7 and 2.2% from peak values to those at 1000 cd m −2 . This is one of the most efficient non-doped solution-processed AIE OLEDs with negligible efficiency roll-off reported so far.
