A NEW C-BAND 50-MW CLASS SiC RF LOAD. II

A new type high power rf-load is being developed as a part of the RD in each sintered ceramic Silicon Carbide (SiC) is used as the microwave absorbing material. A total of 40 SiC disks per rf-load can absorb enough microwave power to meet the requirements for vacuum operation in a system with 50-MW of peak rf power at a pulse width of 1-µsec and pulse repetition rate of 50-pps.
