Extended Right Hemicolectomy

This chapter will discuss the changing role of laparoscopic extended right colectomy. While the technique has been performed for many years, the use of minimally invasive surgery is redefining its use for malignant neoplasms of the right colon. We propose this as a standard procedure including intracorporeal anastomoses because of safety, survival, and reproducibility of the technique.
