Ultrasound-guided Sedinger technique and DSA for PICC catheterization

2019
Objective To explore the clinical value of PICC catheterization using Sedinger technique and digital subtraction angiography (DSA). Methods A breast cancer patient with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) underwent preoperative modified posture training was undertaken PICC catheterization successfully by using ultrasound-guided Seldinger technique combined with DSA. Results The PICC catheter was successfully punctured, and no complications occurred during the whole chemotherapy treatment. Conclusions Ultrasound-guided Seldinger combined with DSA technique for PICC catheterization has high success rate of puncture catheter and accurate positioning of catheter, so it is worth being clinically generalized. Key words: PICC; DSA; Seldinger technique; Ultrasound-guided
