Effective EMI Filter Design Method of Single-phase Inverter Based on Noise Source Impedance

This paper presents an effective design method of the electromagnetic interference (EMI) based on single-phase SiC MOSFET inverter. To ensure the design is targeted and effective, the equivalent noise source impedance of common mode (CM) EMI and differential mode (DM) EMI has been measured and calculated at some specific frequencies according to proper model. Then the parameters of CM part and DM part can be respectively design based on the source impedance. The EMI attenuation ability of the filter designed by this method has been compared to a traditional one in simulation and experiments. The simulation and experiment results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
