Spherical Mesoporous Silica Particles with Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles by an Aerosol-assisted Coassembly

Functionalized mesoporous silica particles having TiO2 nanoparticles are prepared by an aerosol-assisted coassembly. The obtained mesoporous silica microparticles possess a high surface area (> 400 m(2)/g) and uniform mesopores of about 8nm. A TEM image shows that the TiO2 nanoparticles are distributed within the mesoporous silica particles.
