Review of Electromagnetic Interactions of Hadrons

In these lectures I wish to discuss some recent experimental results on the interaction of real and virtual photons with hadrons, as well as their phenomenological interpretation. The topics selected are: 1. Deep inelastic scattering and the status of scaling and quark quantum numbers. 2. Photons in nuclear matter and shadowing of the interactions. 3. The production of vector states, in particular ψ production. 4. The hadronic states produced in deep-inelastic processes.
