Methods for Studying Adult Movement in Heliothis

1991
Movement is a key factor in the population processes of any mobile insect (Dingle, 1972; Horn, 1983; Solbreck, 1985; Stinner, Saks, and Dohse, 1986). Movements into and out of a population will affect its density, its age structure, and its genetic composition (Hughes, 1979). Information about capacity for movement is essential for the development of strategies for managing an insect pest.
