Untersuchungen zum Längsreibungs-verbund zwischen Druckrohrleitungen und Grabenverfüllung

1999
Internal pressure causes high longitudinal stresses in the pipe line in reach of bendings, junctions and pipe end caps of pressure pipe lines. In case of subterranean pipe laying these stresses will be transferred in the trench backfill through passive earth pressure in front of the bending and through longitudinal friction at the pipe haunching. At least in this area the pipe bells are to be designed nonpositive, which causes increasing costs for the pipe network system. Laboratory tests and stress calculations come to the conclusion, that the recommendations of the DVGW for the calculation of the length, in which the pipe bells are to be designed nonpositive, in future is possibly to be completed in regard to the kind of pipe haunching and stress distribution in pipe trenches.
