Glass fiber reinforced flame-retardant modified polycarbonate composite and preparation method thereof

2016
The invention relates to a glass fiber reinforced flame-retardant modified polycarbonate composite and a preparation method thereof. The composite comprises, by mass, 80-90 parts of PC resin, 8-10 parts of short fiber, 3-5 parts of compatilizer, 0.5-2 parts of flame retardant, 0.3-0.5 part of anti-drip agent, 0.5-2 parts of antioxidant and 0.5-2 parts of lubricant. A lateral feeding device is modified, namely a lateral feeding device inlet usually selected for lateral feeding at a fourth area of a double-screw extruder is moved forward to a lower feeding port, for a raw material mixture, in front of a first area, so that the short fiber is cut and ground by screws for a longer distance from a discharging port, length-diameter ratio of glass fiber is smaller, and the glass fiber can be dispersed more uniformly; base-free short fiber is dispersed more uniformly in the composite, so that surface smoothness and processing fluidity of the polycarbonate composite can be improved effectively, and products with smooth and exquisite surfaces can be better processed.
