The present invention discloses an extended-range electric vehicle powertrain, the powertrain to overcome the prior art the complexity, high cost, poor long-distance high-speed performance issues; includes an engine, a first motor, a second motor, two speed double-clutch transmission and disconnecting mechanism unit; a first motor connected to the engine through the inner rotor shaft; and a second outer shaft motor rotor are connected by the two speed dual clutch transmission mechanism; and a second motor rotor through the outer shaft, and the first disconnection unit a motor rotor is connected; both the engine and the second electric motor through two speed dual clutch transmission mechanism that outputs power by controlling the separation of the two steps of the two clutches of the dual clutch transmission mechanism or in combination, to achieve two power transmission speed ratio; via the control connection breaking unit separated or combined to achieve extended range operation mode switching said electric vehicle powertrain.
