The invention discloses a method for high purity silver carbonate synthesis. The method comprises the following steps: industrial grade silver nitrate is used as raw material; deionized water is added while stirring to dissolve all the silver nitrate; sodium hydroxide solution at theoretical amount is added to generate silver oxide precipitation; silver oxide precipitation is filtered out, and then deionized water is used for washing twice; nitric acid of 65-68% weight percentage is added to adjust pH value; deionized water and self-made complexant are added to cause the metal ion including Fe, Pb, Sb, Cu, Zn to precipitate; the solution is filtered to react with sodium bicarbonate solution to generate silver carbonate; silver carbonate is obtained through suction filtration; a small amount of acetone is used to wash; and the end product is obtained after airing. The silver carbonate obtained by this method has purity higher than 99.5%; compared with the prior art, the purification process is safe, simple and convenient, facilitates energy saving and emission reduction, conforms to the requirement of green chemical industry and environment protection; and the silver carbonate obtained by the purification method of the invention has a stable product quality, and has a good prospect for industrial production.
