Interventions on reduce incidence of wet packs after high-voltage electric steam sterilization and their effect

OBJECTIVE To analyze the interventional measures on reducing the incidence of the wet packs after high pressure steam sterilization.METHODS The incidence rates of the wet packs between 50 115 pieces of objects with high-voltage electric sterilization by adopting the intervention process of "touching,checking,placing,and extending" and 47 234 pieces of objects without adopting interventions were compared,the application efficacy was observed.RESULTS The incidence of wet packs was 0.04% in the nursing intervention group and 0.14% in the group without nursing intervention,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).CONCLUSION The high-voltage electric sterilization is with significant efficacy in reducing the incidence of wet packs,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
