The method for extracting the plant-derived squalene composition comprises the step of sequentially performing enzymolysis and enrichment separation on a squalene-enriched raw material, wherein by controlling the enrichment separation condition, the obtained plant-derived squalene composition contains 35-80 percent by weight of squalene, and the squalene-enriched raw material is prepared from 5-30 percent by weight of squalene and 10-40 percent by weight of sterol. The novel plant-derived squalene composition extracted by using the method has an anti-oxidation effect equivalent to even better than that of high-purity squalene, which has a purity generally higher than 90 percent, provided by the prior art on the premise that no further purification is required.
