Dynamic rheological properties of bamboo flour/low density polyethylene composites

2012
In order to explore dynamic rheological properties of wood plastic composites,so as to better improve the production efficiency and reveals interfacial compound mechanism, the bamboo flour/low density polyethylene(LDPE) composite material was used as researched object. The effects of the coupling agent MAPP,lubricant EBS,antioxidant 1010 on the rheological behavior of composite were investigated respectively.According to the situation, coupling agent, lubricant agent and antioxidant were added into internal mixer during the process of mixing of melt LDPE and bamboo flour. The mixture was broken into fine pieces and then was used to make different testing specimens through injection molding machine.A series of dynamic rheological tests, including the strain sweep, temperature sweep and frequency sweep were done.Strain scanning results showed that compared to that without additives, the stain range of the linear visco-elastic zone of bamboo flour/LDPE composites with additives was wider;the effect of temperature on the dynamic rheological behavior of composite system was significant, especially coupling agent could effectively improve the compatibility between bamboo flour and matrix;the frequency scan indicated that additives, such as coupling agent and so on,could accelerate the dispersion of bamboo floor into polyethylene matrix.
