The work deals with the studies of physical and chemical properties of mixed saliva in 307 patients (143 men and 164 women) aged from 20 till 88 including elderly and senile patients with cardiovascular disorders , namely coronary heart disease (CHD) and idiopathic hypertensia (IH) – 27 cases (13 men and 14 women), with endocrine pathologies (type 2 diabetes mellitus) – 28 cases (12 men and 16 women), with gastrointestinal pathologies (chronic gastritis) – 25 cases (14 men and 11 women). In addition, physical and chemical properties of saliva were studied in 74 elderly and senile patients (50 men and 24 women) suffering from sialolithiasis. The treatment results, including those with endoscopic equipment are presented in the article. The method for preventing the recurrence of sialolithiasis aimed at improving the composition and properties of saliva in elderly and senile patients has been developed.
