The problem of the propagation of a gravity (density) current, with initial configuration: density p2 in the region \(0 < X < + \infty \),\( - \infty < y < + \infty \), 0 < z < H and density \({p_1} = {p_2} + \delta p\) in the region \( - \infty < X < 0\), \( - \infty < y < + \infty \), 0 < z < H and rigidly bounded at z=0, H (Fig. 1(a)) is approached using Green and Dalu mesoscale energetics theory (4).
