ELVO in Urban Areas: Evolution of Stroke Systems of Care

Challenges to delivery of efficient endovascular stroke therapy in urban environments are addressed, discussing strategies employed and rationale for deployment in stroke systems worldwide and in New York City in particular. Triage strategies, including drip and ship, mobile interventional stroke teams, mobile stroke CT units, as well as prehospital scoring, are detailed.
