The objective of the article is to carry out a study to reveal the regularities shown by the process of evaluation of the social impact of the scientific results of academic postgraduate studies in universities, the results of which are presented in this article. For its execution, the methods of analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, document analysis, interview and historical-logical were used, which allowed the critical analysis and the taking of theoretical positions to establish criteria and indicators that made possible to determine the stages that the referred evaluation has had. Consequently, it was determined that it has been a gradual and sustained process in time and that its theoretical-practical execution is still limited, as well as its integrality and systemic nature.
