Abstract Fibre optic recording oscilloscopes may be used to improve the display and reproduction of marine seismic data. The potential of the system includes the reproduction of true plan acoustic mosaics with compensation for skew or yawing and correction of slant range distortion, and sparker record improvement by printing, for example, on transparency for optical Fourier filtering to remove multiples.
