Expression of c-FLIP and Ki-67 in gastric carcinoma

2010
Objective To analyze the expression of c-FLIP and Ki-67 in gastric carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemical methods were used to analyze the expressions of c-FLIP and Ki-67 from 100 postoperative specimens with gastric carcinoma and 100 specimens with begnin gastric diseases. Results Gastric carcinomas have high expression of c-FLIP (χ2 =35. 17,P 0.05 ). Conclusion The c-FLIP, as one of new anti-apoptosis proteins, expresses itself in gastric carcinoma, and thus interferes with apoptosis. The progression of gastric carcinoma results from the imbalance between cell proliferation and cell death. Key words: Gastric carcinoma;  Apoptosis;  Cell proliferation
