"Pasa la vida". Prevención selectiva del consumo de cannabis entre adolescentes

The cannabis use remains high in Spanish adolescents. Thus, there is a need to address interventions in those young cannabis consumers. From selective prevention approach, the intervention called “Pasa la Vida” was designed. A non‐directive program supported by a short‐film addressed to deal with young cannabis consumers aged from 15 to 18 years old. This study analyses the effectivity of this intervention in Spanish population. The measurement instruments were based on the Theory of Planned behavior. The results showed that the intervention was effective to change attitudes and reduce the cannabis use. The results support the application of this non‐directive intervention focused on debate and critical reflection about false beliefs concerning cannabis use.
