Research progress in the preparation and application of photonic crystals based on MOFs

In recent years, due to the excellent optical properties of photonic crystals and the special porous structure of MOFs, the research of photonic crystals based on MOFs has attracted much attention from researchers. In this paper, the research progress of MOFs and their applications in photonic crystals in recent years is reviewed. Firstly, MOFs, photonic crystals and the advantages of MOFs combined with photonic crystals are briefly introduced. Then, the preparation methods of photonic crystals based on MOFs are described, and their application status is further summarized. Finally, the difficulties existing in the current researches of photonic crystals based on MOFs are summarized, and the future development direction is prospected. These works provide strategic support for the practical application of MOFs-based photonic crystals.
