An MBSE Framework for Civil Aircraft Airborne System Development

In civil aircraft airborne system domain, a high quality and efficiency system development is a challenge as the complexity nature of airborne system. An airborne system development guideline which is ARP-4754A is recommended by airworthiness authorities to decrease design errors. At same time, MBD and MBSE methodology is presented to promote development work. This paper introduces a new MBSE framework which is a combination of CESAM MBSE methodology, MBTDD (Model Based and Test Driven Development) methodology and consideration of civil aircraft airborne system development process. The wireless tire pressure indication system is chosen as case study to implement this new MBSE framework. The development activities and advantages are presented in this paper.
