Synthesis of some new o-alkenyl calix[6]arene and calix[8]arene derivatives

Bis-, tris- and tetrakis E-2-butenyl (crotyl) derivatives of calix[6]arenes and bis- and tetrakis- derivatives of calix[8]drenes were prepared from the parent calixarene with E-2-butenyl bromide, in the presence of basic catalyst. FT-IR, UV-VIS, 1 H- RMN, 1 3 C-RMN and MS investigations confirmed the product composition and structure.
