EVALUATION OF DYNAMIC POSTURE CONTROL WHEN LOAD CARRIAGE IN ANTERIOR AND POSTERIOR POSITIONS USING STAR EXCURSION BALANCE TEST

2017
The Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) is a valid method to measure dynamic balance. Front-pack and back-pack would have different balance control ability. Twenty healthy young males were volunteered to this experiment and performed SEBT with front-pack and back-pack in 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% body weight loads. The normalized excursion distance has decreasing trends with the increase of loads no matter front-pack or back-pack. Front-pack has higher normalized excursion distance than back-pack. It observed that above 5% load were affect balance control ability for back-pack and below 20% load was the avoidable weight to back-pack.
