Design of an Integrated Detection System of Underwater Cultural Relic Based on Remotely Operated Vehicle

The integrated detection system of underwater cultural relic is based on remotely operated vehicle (ROV). And the system is integrated by several high-level underwater detection instruments such as side-scan sonar, forward-looking sonar, magnetometer and high-definition camera. Based on the data obtained from these sensors, the ROV can develop a real-time monitoring system for underwater cultural relic detection. And the multi-sensor monitoring system can realize the information communication between the surface ship and underwater equipment, which is helpful for controlling the path of ROV, storing the detection information and improving the efficiency of underwater detection. In addition, the detection ability of the underwater integrated detection system can be improved by the research of magnetic characteristics of different material in this paper. By researching on the information processing technology of multi-sensor data, the database of underwater cultural relic is constructed. And the integrated detection system can provide technical support for the detection, protection and management of underwater culture relics.
