Surface coatings 4—Sprayed coatings

1972
Abstract The wide range of deposits available, and the ease and speed of deposition on to a variety of substrates, make the spraying processes valuable techniques in surface engineering. The properties of the sprayed deposits are peculiar to their sprayed state and may be unobtainable by the coating materials in other forms. Flame or arc spraying is increasingly considered at the design stage, as well as for the earlier applications of reclaiming worn or mis-machined components.
