Implications of Left Ventricular Dysfunction at Presentation Among Infants with Coarctation of the Aorta

Purpose: Infants with delayed diagnosis of aortic coarctation may present with left ventricular (LV) dysfunction that could complicate their post-operative course and lead to increased healthcare costs. We aimed to determine the prevalence of moderate-severe LV dysfunction among infants presenting with coarctation, describe their outcomes, and assess their health care resource utilization.
